The ICENI held a Gastrointestinal Anastomosis Workshop in February that received an overall 100% satisfaction rating from delegates. This course is now in its 7th year and helps shorten the learning curve for this essential surgical technique. The ICENI is holding another course on 28th September 2017.
With Human Factors and Patient Care moving up the NHS Agenda, the ICENI Centre are delivering a series of Train the Trainer courses in Human Factors.
The February cohort included a GP, Surgeon and Anaesthetist, who, once trained, will lead workshops for clinicians in their field.
The course is aimed at reducing human vulnerability in high pressure situations and suitable for all healthcare workers who are keen to develop techniques in pro-active error avoidance.
