Accreditation

The ICENI Centre’s reputation for delivering first-class education and training to healthcare professionals has been upheld following a re-accreditation from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

It first received the award in 2013 and following its latest inspection by the professional body has been granted a reaccreditation until March 2027.

The Centre is part of East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) and its mission to provide training, aimed at advancing standards of surgical care for patients, is central to the ethos of the Trust.

Under the leadership of Clinical Directors Adam Howard, Emma Thomson, Barry Whitlow, Tim Williams, Greg Wynn and Honorary Director Chrys Dimitriou, alongside Associate Director of Innovation and Education Peter Cook, the ICENI Centre will further build on its international reputation for first class training, research and innovation, and surgical/medical fellowships.
