Day 2 Venue: Evelyn Surgical Training Centre, Cambridge

Please note delegates must their own travel arrangements to the venues. The Evelyn Surgical Training Centre is a 40 minute drive from the Radisson Blu Hotel, via the M11.

Course Fee:£1000 includes one night’s accommodation and a course evening meal at the Hotel on Day 1

The STEPS Laparoscopic Colorectal Foundation Course

Overview

The STEPS Laparoscopic Colorectal Foundation Course, established by ETHICON in partnership with The ICENI Centre in Colchester, offers a foundation of training in laparoscopic colorectal surgery over six days, split between Colchester, Pinewood & JJI, Hamburg

Module One – 18th and 19th June 2019

The first two-day Module held in Colchester concentrates on anatomical considerations for right hemi colectomy, a step-wise approach to performing this operation laparoscopically, laparoscopic suturing techniques and operating theatre set-up for safe practice. There is also a live surgery demonstration. Delegates will also carry out dissection on synthetic models and animal tissue in our skills laboratory and gain an understanding of procedural complications.
