The ICENI Centre is part of the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest Trusts in the East of England. Colchester is the oldest recorded town in Britain; today it is a thriving, modern town with an excellent selection of shops, hotels and restaurants.

From the North

Take junction 28 from the A12 then first exit at the roundabout. Take the second exit at the next roundabout. At the traffic lights go straight ahead, then turn left at the next set of traffic lights onto Mill Road. At the mini roundabout turn right (second exit) onto Turner Road. Follow the road round and take the second entrance (South Entrance) to the hospital on the right. Turn right into the visitors’ car park.

From the South

Approach Colchester from the A12 and take junction 28 (signposted Stadium and Park & Ride). Take the third exit at the roundabout, the second exit at the next roundabout and follow directions as above.

Parking

Parking is available at the main visitor carpark which has number plate recognition. At the end of the visit, please enter your number plate into the machine available and pay the amount owing.

Park & Ride

Colchester Park and Ride is located to the north of the A12, just off junction 28. From January 2017, it will stop along the Northern Approach Road, which is close to Colchester General Hospital.

The park and ride service will cost £3 for unlimited journeys on the day of ticket purchase enabling easy access to and from the A12 park and ride base to the hospital and into the town centre.
