ICENI Centre International Fellowship Programme – Entry Requirements, Advice & Information

  • The British Council IELTS English Language Test (IELTS for UKVI Academic) or OET (Occupational English Test) Medicine version

    • IELTS – Score of at least 7.0 in each testing area and an overall score of 7.5
    • OET – At least a grade ‘B’ in each testing area (speaking, listening, reading and writing)
  • Primary Medical Qualification Certificate (PMQ)

    • A copy of your decorative PMQ certificate given to you when you first qualified. It must confirm the exact date that you met all of the requirements for the award of your degree (the date that you passed your final examination/assessment).

    It must meet the GMC’s criteria for acceptable overseas qualifications

  • Certificate of Good Standing ( CGS)

    • A CGS from the medical regulatory authority in any countries where you’ve held registration during the last five years. Find out which medical authorities you need to contact. Certificates are only valid for three months and they must be in date when we’re ready to approve your registration.
  • Evidence of clinical experience

    • Candidates will need to demonstrate they’ve completed at least three years of full-time equivalent postgraduate training, including:
      • one year’s internship (which can be multi-specialty or based solely in one specialty)
      • Minimum of three years in their specialty

    Candidate must have been in full time clinical work for the year directly prior to their Fellowship start date.

  • Translations

    • You must submit a complete and accurate translation of every document you provide that is not in English.
      • A copy of the original document, along with a copy of the English translation.
      • The translation must have the name and contact details of the translator or translation service either on it, or attached to it.
