Basic Surgical skills

OUR BASIC SURGICAL SKILLS COURSE WAS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER.

A BIG thank you to ICENI Course leader Nienke Warnaar who lead on our BSS course this week.  The commitment from the Centre’s faculty to support our learners does not go unnoticed by our trainees and staff as commented by a delegate saying ” the Faculty have given me amazing 1 to 1 support throughout.”

According to Nienke the distance travelled by the Delegates  and Faculty was time well spent as she believes the workshop as a great way to learn and perfect the abilities they need to operate safely and efficiently which will directly benefit patients. Nienke also explained “this course is great because you get two days from start to finish hands on practical practice including suturing, knot tying and hand tying. So at the end of the course you will know how to do it correctly.”

Following its success again this year, the course, held the October 3rd & 4th 2021 is planned again for next year (dates to be confirmed), so in light of the popularity of this course and the limited places available, we strongly advise booking early to avoid disappointment. If you would like to register your interest in attending the next course, please contact: Edward.Horseman@esneft.nhs.uk
